Hub Replacement

Occasionally you may find an inoperable Hub.  In this situation the best thing to do is replace it.

  1. Physically replace the Hub.
    • Locate and remove the existing hub, ethernet cable and power supply.

    • Use the new Ethernet cable and power supply and install the new hub in the same location.

    • Verify that the new hub has an internet connection before moving on to the next step.

  2. Remove old Hub from the Dwelo network.
    • Access the unit via Install.dwelo.com.
    • From the hub tab click the drop down menu to select “remove hub”.
    • Copy the old gateway id and click yes. You will need this number later to transfer permissions.

         3. Register the new Hub.

    • Enter the hub serial number to register the new hub.
    • Since the smart devices are still included to the old Hub, exclude all devices before including them to the new Hub.
    • Once all the devices have been included. Click the hub tab dropdown menu and select “transfer permissions”.
    • Then paste the old gateway Id and click yes.

Once you have successfully transferred permissions the hub replacement is complete and you can proceed to finish the work ticket.
